HAPPY MONDAY!!! I won’t be sewing for the Spring Wardrobe Challenge at all this week :-o. I’ll pick it back up the second week in March. In the meantime, Simplicity (c. 2004) 4887 Views C and F are complete. They have been in my “unfinisheds” since Winter 2014. Scarlet and Gray…colors that are synonymous with them OHIO STATE BUCKEYES. 🙂The top fabric is the same used in this Burda 9306 dress blogged about here. That pattern was free when I downloaded it a couple of years ago. The pants fabric is a polyester double knit suiting that I inherited from Virginia. The pants are the only view that doesn’t require stretch knits.I have a jacket, also in the unfinisheds, using the same scarlet fabric. I stopped working on it because I (think) I shortened it too much. Completing the pants have made me want to revisit the jacket to see if there’s a possibility of coordinating a pant suit. The pattern instructions and illustrations were great. I am certain that I will make another version of this top at some point, probably a hooded version. The pants, which are otherwise pretty basic, have a partial elastic waist in the back, a detail that I like.If by chance you have this pattern and you’ve not made it yet… you should pull it out and stitch it up!
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
Until next time…PEACE AND BLESSINGS!!!
